Short version: SnapTab stores your email, group data, and receipt photos securely in the cloud so your group can share expenses in real time. We do not sell or share your data with anyone.

We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, or any purpose other than providing the app.

Data storage and security

All data is stored on AWS infrastructure in the us-east-1 region. Receipt photos are stored in a private S3 bucket and are not publicly accessible. Access is controlled via authenticated signed URLs that expire after one hour.

Account authentication is handled by AWS Cognito. We do not store passwords.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. The only external services used are AWS (for infrastructure), which process data on our behalf.

Expense data you post is visible to other members of your group. Only people you have explicitly added to a group can see that group's expenses.

Data deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the app settings. Deleting your account removes your expenses, receipt photos, and all associated data from our systems.

Children

SnapTab is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

If anything changes, we will update this page. The date at the top reflects when it was last revised.
